MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS <br />Pleasanton Avenue <br />May 9, 1979 <br />8:00 pm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:45pm by Chairman Gregg Doherty <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Ken Geppert, Joyce Getty, Bill Jamieson, DeWitt <br />Wilson and Chairman Gregg Doherty <br />Staff Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Harvey Levine, City Attorney; <br />Alan B. Campbell, Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities; Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary. <br />Council Members Present: Walt Wood and Mayor Frank Brandes <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Planning Commission Work Session Minutes of April 6, 1979 were approved as submitted. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of the Planning Commission of April 11, 1979 were <br />amended as follows: Page 2, Paragraph 1, Line 13 - "Commissioner Geppert then asked <br />how the staff would feel about being presented with a plan for downtown that was <br />completed by the downtown business community" and Page 6, Paragraph 1, Line 8, - <br />"Commissioner Doherty suggested Commissioner Geppert withdraw his motion, Commissioner <br />Geppert agreed, Commissioner Wilson and all of the other Commissioners concurred and <br />the motion was withdrawn". <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />No one spoke. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated he would like to add 7(a), consideration of a waiver to the parcel <br />map requirement on Sunol Blvd. <br />P~fATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Getty stated she would be unable to attend the regular June 13, 1979 <br />meetings because she is attending the graduation ceremony of one of her children. <br />PUD-79-1, Centex Homes <br />Application of Centex Homes for Planned Unit Development approval for a 116 unit, <br />single-family detached residential complex to be located on a 32.4 acre site located <br />between Pleasanton School upper playfield and Mirador Drive and immediately soutl~e~-'_y <br />of the residences bordering Angela Street. The site is presem~llq ~©ffi~~' A (Agricultural) <br />District. A negative declaration of environmental impacts was also considered. <br />Mr. Harris explained the staff report and why this case was previously continued. <br />He stated staff recommends approval of the mitigated negative declaration and <br />zoning of R-1-8500. He stated initially the application was for a PUD but has been <br />changed to R-1-8500 at the request of the staff since it is not a true PUD. <br />Public hearing was opened. <br />-1- <br />__ .__. _. _ __..._ _ ..r __. _ .. <br />
