MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS <br />June 13, 1979 <br />7:30pm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at 7:35pm by Chairman <br />Gregg Doherty. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Ken Geppert, Joyce Getty, Bill Jamieson, DeWitt Wilson and <br />Chairman Gregg Doherty. Joyce Getty arrived at 9:20pm after <br />attending a graduation ceremony. <br />Staff Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development; <br />Alan B. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Utilities; <br />and Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary. <br />Council Members Present: Walt Wood and Mayor Frank Brandes <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of May 9, 1979 were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />No one spoke. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris requested V-79-10 previously continued to June 13 be continued to June 14, 1979, <br />because the Board of Adjustment is meeting on that night instead of the 13th as originally <br />planned. Mr. Harris also stated that GP-79-07 will be continued to July 11, 1979 so that <br />the issue may first be considered by the Parks and Recreation Commission. He further <br />pointed out that the applicants for PUD-79-2 requested their meeting be held at the end <br />of the agenda so that Joyce Getty would be present on the Commission. Following discussion <br />of the Commission, it was decided this matter should be heard first by the City Council <br />for a determination on the issues previously requested. <br />OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />Application for a variance from the requirements of the code to allow the subdivision of a <br />46,000+ sq. ft. lot located at 4189 Stanley Blvd. into four parcels, three of which would <br />not have the required street frontage, one of which would not have the required lot <br />width, and one of which would not have the required lot depth. Zoning for the property is <br />R-1-6500 District. <br />This matter was continued to June 14, 1979 at the Cultural Arts Center at 7:30pm. <br />PUD-79-2, Joe Boatright and Ray Goodrich <br />Application of Joe Boatright and Ray Goodrich for rezoning to PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />District and development plan approval for an 11-lot residential subdivision on 55 acres <br />of the 73 acre site located west of Foothill Road and north of Longview Drive. The <br />Planning Commission may rezone the 73 acres as requested or to any other designation <br />consistent with the General Plan. The site is zoned A (Agricultural) District. A negative <br />declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />After consideration by the Planning Commissioners they decided this issue should wait <br />until July 11, 1979 awaiting consideration of City Council opinion on issues brought to <br />
