MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS <br />Pleasanton Avenue <br />Pleasanton, California <br />7:30 P.M. <br />August 8, 1979 <br />Wednesday <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at 7:30pm by Chairman <br />Gregg Doherty. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Ken Geppert, Joyce Getty, Bill Jamieson, DeWitt <br />Wilson and Chairman Gregg Doherty. <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Staff Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Alan B. Campbell, Director <br />of Public Works and Utilities; Walt Schaumburg, <br />Associate Civil Engineer; Shirley McDougall, <br />Recording Secretary <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of the Planning Commission of July 11, 1979 were <br />approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />No one addressed the Commission. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated that 5b should be continued to September 12, 1979 for a traffic study <br />and that 6b should be continued indefinitely for an engineering study. Both of these <br />requests were granted by the Commission. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY THE COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Joyce Getty thanked the staff for the Commercial Use list. <br />Commissioner Jamieson made reference to an article which appeared in a local newspaper <br />concerning the Livermore Airport. <br />OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />PUD-79-2, Joe Boatright and Ray Goodrich <br />Application of Joe Boatright and Ray Goodrich for rezoning to PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />District and development plan approval for an 11-lot residential subdivision on 55 <br />acres of the 74 acre site located west of Foothill Road and north of Longview Drive. <br />The Planning Commission may rezone the 74 acres as requested or to any other designation <br />consistent with the General Plan. The site is zoned A (Agricultural) District. A <br />negative declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />Chairman Doherty stated that item 6a, GP-79-14, would be considered at the same time as <br />PUD-79-2 since they relate to the same property. <br />GP-79-14, Joseph E. Boatright <br />Application for an amendment to the General Plan which would include the 74 acre parcel <br />of land located on the west side of Foothill Road between Bernal Avenue and Longview <br />Drive as being within the "Urbanization Line" on the Land Use Map of the General Plan or <br />,... ~_. _..
