MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />November 14, 1979 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />T e meeting was called to order by Chairperson Gregg Doherty at 10:15 P.M. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Ken Geppert, Joyce Getty, Bill Jamieson, <br />DeWitt Wilson and Gregg Doherty, Chairperson <br />Staff Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Walt Schaumburg, <br />Associate Civil Engineer; and Shirley <br />McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />Council Members Present: None <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />T e minutes of October 10 and 11, 1979 were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEP~IBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION <br />No one a ressed the Commission. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE' AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated that item 9 a , application of John Caroline would not <br />be able to be heard because the EIR has not been completed but that the <br />applicant is asking it be left on the agenda for public input. Further <br />9(a) should be continued to December 12, 1979 for the public hearing. <br />The commission agreed to this request. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY THE COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />RZ-79-23, Planning Commission <br />Commissioner Geppert made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Getty that <br />the approximately 3.2 acre site located on the north side of Black <br />Avenue between Harvest Road and Crestline Road be rezoned from the <br />RM-2500 (Multiple-Residential) District to the RM-4000 (Multiple- <br />Residential) District. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Geppert, .Getty, Jamieson, Wilson and <br />Chairperson Doherty <br />Noes: None <br />Resolution rdo. 1816 was then entered and adopted initiating the rezoning <br />to be filed under RZ-79-23. <br />Commissioner Wilson stated he would like to see high density resi- <br />dential on three of the 14 sites looked at on the Planning Commission <br />tour of November 3, 1979. <br />
