Mr. Harris explained the Gaff report.
Commissioner Wilson stated he was surprised there wasn't some time limit on
this request because if you arrive home from a trip at about 9:00 P.M. you
might want to leave your vehicle parked on your property over night.
Commissioner Jamieson then inquired as to why the ordinance doesn't say
driveway instead of front yards. Mr. Harris explained.
The public hearing was opened.
As no one addressed the Commission on this matter, the public hearing was
declared closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Commissioner Wilson
recommending approval of RZ-80-1 as per the staff report.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Leppert, Getty, Jamieson, Wilson and
Chairperson Doherty
Noes: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
Resolution No. 1849 was then entered and adopted recommending approval of
RZ-80-1.
WATERSLIDE AT ALAMEDA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Mr. Wilson stated in his personal opinion it is doubtful a waterslide will be
installed because of the tremendous amount of money required to do so.
Mr. Harris stated that the application comes under the same CEQA and State
Guidelines as everyone else and the City should be invited to comment on
any environmental assessment prepared for this project and so far none has
been received.
Commissioner Geppert addressed concerns with access from Bernal as currently
no pedestrians are allowed in this area. He also had concerns with aesthetics,
location of the concession itself.
After discussion of all the Commissioners, it was agreed that the Chairperson
would write a letter to the Fair expressing the concerns of the City.
Tentative Map 4539, Centex
Application of Centex Homes for tentative map approval for a 79-lot residential
subdivision to be located on a 32.4 acre site between Pleasanton School upper
playfield and Mirador Drive immediately southerly of the residences bordering
Angela Street. The site is zoned PUD-Residential (Planned Unit Development-
Residential) District.
This item was continued to March 12, 1980.
REFERRALS FROM ALAMEDA COUNTY
There were none.
REFERRALS FROM CITY COUNCIL
There were none.
-12-
