MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds - Cafeteria <br />Wednesday, March 12, 1980 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to <br />The Pledge of Allegiance <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: <br />Commissioners Absent: <br />Staff Members Present: <br />order at 7:30 P.M. by Chairperson Gregg Doherty. <br />to the Flag was recited. <br />Joyce Getty, Bill Jamieson, DeWitt Wilson and <br />Gregg Doherty <br />Ken Leppert (ill) <br />Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Walt Schaumburg, Associate <br />Civil Engineer; Shirley McDougall, Recording <br />Secretary <br />Council Members Present: None <br />Alan B. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Utilities came by to thank <br />the Planning Commission for their cooperation over the years and stated <br />this was the last meeting he would come to for the Planning Commission <br />as he is soon leaving the City. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the February 13, 1980 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION <br />No one addressed the Commission. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated that item 5a, case PUD-79-14, should be continued to <br />the Planning Commission meeting of 4/9/80 at the request of the applicant. <br />The Commission agreed to this request. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Getty stated that she previously had reported trucks parked <br />on First Street during the night and that they are still there. On <br />another matter, she stated the Pigeon Club is helping in the removal <br />of the pigeons on Main Street and that it has been determined the <br />pigeons were feeding at Albers Feed Store. <br />Commissioner Getty stated she attended a League of California Cities <br />conference in San Diego two weeks ago and one of the matters discussed <br />was the use of solar in future developments. She stated she feels now <br />would be the proper time to consider solar application with so many <br />tentative subdivisions being .considered at tonight's meeting. She read <br />the condition she would like to see implemented. <br />
