COMMUNICATIONS
Commissioner Doherty stated he will not be at the July 9, 1980 meeting
inasmuch as he will not be in town.
Commissioner Jamieson stated he has received a communique from Mr. Silva
regarding drainage at the end of Hansen. He stated he also has a copy of
a map approved by Mr. Campbell. Mr. Silva has concerns about flooding
in the winter and other times of the year because of poor drainage.
Walt Schaumburg said there was drainage provided but that the farmer
plows over the area and flattens out the drainage ditch but he will have
it taken care of.
Commissioner Jamieson wanted to know when this would be taken care of
and Mr. Schaumburg stated as soon as possible but couldn't say when that
would be.
Mr. Harris reported to the Commission concerning two Senate Bills; SB 1960
and 1887. He stated SB 1960 was approved by the Senate but denied by the
Assembly, however, they agreed it would be voted on again at another time
and could in fact be voted on at any time during the year. Mr. Harris
stated that SB 1887 has been placed on the inactive list so both should
be taken to Council and a recommendation made.
Mr. Harris stated the Housing Element Draft wll be done early next week
and as of today we don't have a lot of items on the agenda for July 9.
He stated if the situation continues to exist the Housing Element can
be heard on that night. It was pointed out that Commissioner Doherty
will be out of town until the 14th. It was further decided that if a
special meeting was needed it should be on July 10, 1980.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 11:30 P.M.
r
~~
Robert J. ri , Secretary
-11-
