MINUTES <br />PLANNING COD'lMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />CULTURAL ARTS CENTER <br />4477 Black Avenue <br />Wednesday, July 9, 1980 <br />8:15pm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairperson DeWitt Wilson. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Joyce Getty, Bill Jamieson, Larry Lindsey, <br />and Chairperson DeWitt Wilson <br />Commissioners Absent: Gregg Doherty <br />Staff Members Present: James R. Walker, City Manager; Robert J. <br />Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Richard Glenn, <br />Assistant Planner; Tom Passanisi, <br />Planning Analyst; Walt Schaumburg, Director <br />of Engineering Services; and Shirley <br />.McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />Councilmembers Present: ~ There were none <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the 6/11/80 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION <br />No one addressed the Commission. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated he would like to add two items to the agenda; one <br />concerning the size of the Planning Commission; and two, sound wall at <br />Val Vista near the Stoneridge overpass. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY THE COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Getty addressed the shuttle bus from Neal to the Fairgrounds <br />during the Alameda County Fair. She stated this is a good idea but per- <br />haps next year consideration should be given as to how many BART users <br />take advantage of this and to spreading out the bus stops. Commissioner <br />Getty said cars were parked up and down the railroad tracks, near the <br />fire department and just generally all over the place. Chairperson Wilson <br />stated that perhaps consideration can be given next year as to how many <br />BART users there are. <br />Commissioner Getty also asked staff to provide a new listing of department <br />heads, Planning Commission, City Council, Park and Recreation Commission <br />and Human Services Commission.
