MINUTES PLANNING COD'lMISSION Pleasanton, California CULTURAL ARTS CENTER 4477 Black Avenue Wednesday, July 9, 1980 8:15pm CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairperson DeWitt Wilson. ROLL CALL Commissioners Present: Joyce Getty, Bill Jamieson, Larry Lindsey, and Chairperson DeWitt Wilson Commissioners Absent: Gregg Doherty Staff Members Present: James R. Walker, City Manager; Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development; Richard Glenn, Assistant Planner; Tom Passanisi, Planning Analyst; Walt Schaumburg, Director of Engineering Services; and Shirley .McDougall, Recording Secretary Councilmembers Present: ~ There were none APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Minutes of the 6/11/80 meeting were approved as submitted. MEETING OPEN FOR MEMBERS OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION No one addressed the Commission. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA Mr. Harris stated he would like to add two items to the agenda; one concerning the size of the Planning Commission; and two, sound wall at Val Vista near the Stoneridge overpass. MATTERS INITIATED BY THE COMMISSION MEMBERS Commissioner Getty addressed the shuttle bus from Neal to the Fairgrounds during the Alameda County Fair. She stated this is a good idea but per- haps next year consideration should be given as to how many BART users take advantage of this and to spreading out the bus stops. Commissioner Getty said cars were parked up and down the railroad tracks, near the fire department and just generally all over the place. Chairperson Wilson stated that perhaps consideration can be given next year as to how many BART users there are. Commissioner Getty also asked staff to provide a new listing of department heads, Planning Commission, City Council, Park and Recreation Commission and Human Services Commission.
