He spoke
to the property next to the Pleasanton Hotel. He presented a drawing
for review stating that Mrs. Perry, the property owner, has contemplated
selling him property from the black line to the center of the creek,
but that the City has put a plan line on the property. He stated
Mrs. Perry cannot sell the property with a plan line and is adamant
she will not make any dedications whatsoever regarding this property.
Mr. Caroline stated two of his associates visited Mr. Harris and found
dedications would have to probably be made to Zone 7. He stated he
has just built two houses on Stanley and doesn't need Zone 7 or anyone
else to require dedications. He said Zone 7 is down the street from
J. Van tie Roovaart's house and they do not take care of the weed
abatement at this location. Mr. Caroline stated he has cleaned up the
creek on Stanley at his own expense. He further stated they intend
to make the car lot a park at their own expense but do not want to go
through expensive survey procedures, etc. if the project is not feasible.
He stated that as a taxpayer when we have the chance to beautify a piece
of the creek like we did on Stanley, we would like the Planning Com-
mission to tell staff that the project is viable and for them to
instruct staff to put this through without any conditions regarding
dedications, etc. He spoke to Woodbridge and the duplication of an old
San Jose fire house there.
...-__.T,r...._. _.. .. _ __ ___,~.. .... _._ _.. ._ __.r.._. _ .. ...
