Mr. Harris explained the staff report and recommendation of approval. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Harvey Kameny, Crocker Homes, stated he agrees with the staff recom- <br />mendations and conditions. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner Jamieson <br />that Tentative Map Tract 4770 be approved subject to the conditions of <br />the staff report of January 14, 1981. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson and Chairperson Wilson <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Commissioner Lindsey <br />Resolution No. 1942 was then entered and adopted approving Tentative Map <br />Tract 4770 for Crocker Homes. <br />Tentative Map Tract 4372, Ernest Pestana <br />Application of Ernest Pestana for tentative map approval of a 48 lot <br />single family residential subdivision on the 35 acre site located <br />between the Rosepointe subdivision and Happy Valley Road, immediately <br />westerly of Amber Lane. The property is zoned R-1-20,000 (Single- <br />Family Residential) District. <br />Mr. Harris reviewed the staff report and recommendations, commenting <br />that this project is exempt from RAP. <br />Commissioner Jamieson made the comment that Lots 12 and 13 are dedicated <br />for parks. He stated that in the past it was felt there were sufficient <br />parks in town but said his position has changed. He stated that in <br />fairness to future generations we should reserve some park space. <br />Commissioner Getty and Chairperson Wilson addressed Mr. Warnick about <br />the configuration of the island and left-turn onto Brionne Court. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Ted Fairfield, Consulting Engineer, representing Mr. Pestana addressed <br />the Planning Commission. Mr. Fairfield recommended that the Engineering <br />recommendations be modified in part as follows: <br />"9. That the subdivider make a "best effort" attempt to <br />cause the portion of Amber Lane along the east property <br />line of the development to be designed and constructed <br />to provide for a 32 ft. curb-to-curb section, concrete <br />curbs on both sides, and driveway openings on the east <br />side at the existing driveway locations; in cooperation <br />with and subject to the satisfaction of the City <br />Engineer. <br />-2- <br />
