Commissioners Jamieson and Doherty concurred with this. Commissioner
Getty did not.
Concerning Condition No. 7, Chairperson Wilson said the intersection
should stay right where it is. The other four Commissioners agreed
with this.
Condition No. 14 - Commissioner Doherty said he wants to see a one-for-
one replacement of trees removed. Commissioner Jamieson said they
should be the same size as the ones removed. They addressed the rest
of the conditions #15 through #25. Mr. Harris said Condition #21 was
put in at the request of the bond counsel.
Concerning Condition No. 29, Mr. Harris explained. They went through
the balance of the conditions with no comments.
Chairperson Wilson asked if the Commissioners wanted to add conditions
to the staff recommendation.
Commissioner Doherty said he would like to see buildings two stories
or taller be sprinklered throughout. Chairperson Wilson said he would
go along with a three story, but not a two story. Commissioner Lindsey
asked if the fire study would address this. Commissioner Doherty said
he didn't want to set a precedent by not requiring the extra sprinklering.
The City Attorney suggested that perhaps the Planning Commission would
like to discuss the initiation of a change to the Building Code to re-
quire sprinklering of two-story buildings.
Mr. Harris suggested that it should be studied before a recommendation
is made on this matter. Commissioner Doherty said he would rescind his
comments until the matter is studied.
Commissioner Wilson said he would like to add the condition stated
earlier concerning holding up building permits for the formulation of
assessment district. The City Attorney advised that another developer
might slow the process down.
A motion was made by Commissioner Doherty, seconded by Commissioner
Getty that case PUD-80-16 be recommended for approval subject to the
staff report as modified; including "That the developer shall agree to
pay his fair share of an economic analysis of the north Pleasanton Area.
Total cost of said analysis to range in price between $5,000 to $20,000."
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes:
Noes:
Commissioners Doherty, Getty and Lindsey
Commissioner Jamieson and Chairperson Wilson
Resolution No. 1962 was then entered and adopted recommending approval
of case PUD-80-16 as stated.
After some discussion a motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded
by Commissioner Lindsey to amend the mitigated approval to exclude
"That the developer be allowed to process his application to the final
subdivision map stage and that actual building permits be withheld until
-6-
._... .... ____.. ~._.._. _......._.T.._ .. ...... .. ... .. . _. _,_......__..e._.. _.. .~_.._.. ... ..,.. .. _.„ ...~.....~ ._ ....,. ..___.... ._.._ ... ... . ._......T_. __ .~.. ... .... .....
