would like to see it resolved for the best solution to traffic. <br />Chairperson Wilson discussed the traffic reports with Mr. Ruggeri who <br />pointed out that TJKM was employed by Meyer, Prudential and others <br />for traffic study purposes. <br />Mr. Meyer addressed the location of the intersection in question by <br />Prudential using his visual aides. <br />The following persons spoke in favor of the project and urged approval: <br />Aida K. Lawton, 6868 Singletree Court <br />Linda Cooley, 6730 Menlo Court <br />Gary W. Geis, 2790 Corte San Blas <br />Don Redgwick, 1632 Loganberry Way <br />Frank Capilla, 2220 Camino Brazos <br />Debra Strong, Chamber of Commerce <br />William G. Kovac, 3124 Weymouth Court <br />Mike Cricksman, 4618 Helpert Court <br />The following persons spoke in opposition to the project: <br />Ron Froemming, 4056 Payne Road <br />John Innes, 1586 Foothill Road (not for or against, but <br />raised questions) <br />Paul Ebright, 5416 Blackbird Drive <br />Susan McKee, 4693 Denker Drive <br />The above persons had concerns with traffic congestion, cost of City <br />services for the development, air pollution, height of structures, <br />sewage, and noise and desired to have all of the north Pleasanton area <br />looked at in total. Susan McKee presented a petition with approxi- <br />mately 1,012 signatures which states: "We are not opposed to progress. <br />We do feel that the proposed construction at Stoneridge Drive and Hop- <br />yard Road will negatively affect Pleasanton's image; of a pleasant <br />town for families. It is not our desire to become a valley of high- <br />rise buildings." <br />Kathy Hollbrook, 6104 Crater Lake Court spoke. She urged no develop- <br />ment until such time as improvements are put in to widen Hopyard Road. <br />She suggested the entire north Pleasanton area be developed with <br />buildings under three stories. <br />Dick Minor, 1507 Randalwood, Robert M. Coffey, Jr. 4279 Barbara Court, <br />Bill Hedle, 4370 Payne Road, Stephen Dempsey, 6074 Allbrook Circle, <br />Steve Thompson, 3737 Pinto Court, Jim Jordan, 7405 Maywood (Stoneridge <br />area), Donna Esquivel, 4630 Corte Court, Darlen Upmeir, 3928 Empire <br />Court, spoke in opposition with concerns to traffic, noise, high-rise <br />buildings with Mr. Hedle urging the collection of more data relating <br />to the concerns expressed. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />-3- <br /> <br />
