Commissioner Doherty said he is extremely concerned about moving
ahead as soon as possible concerning the assessment district for
the north end of Pleasanton -- Caltrans interchanges, etc. Mr. Harris
said there has been one meeting with the major property owners and
their representatives and that there is another meeting scheduled
for 3/24/81 for the same group of people. The City Manager and
Director of Public Works have contacted an engineering firm and
talked about establishing an assessment district. He said their
tentative proposal will go before the City Council.
Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson and Getty their addressed the traffic
studies and composites thereof.
Commissioner Jamieson said that commercial vehicles are parking on
First Street and suggested that the corporation yard where space
is plentiful be allowed for this use. He said that a fee could
be charged. He said, however, the liability aspect would have to
be checked out with the City Attorney. He said that in Livermore
this is being done by a private concern.
Commissioner Getty spoke to concerns with Fromm and whether or
not property has been set aside for BART. Mr. Harris said that
the alternate study has not yet been completed but the land has
been set aside.
Commissioner Jamieson asked why an EIR was considered for the Fromm
property and not the properties in north Pleasanton which will be
developed. Mr. Harris explained.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
9:35 P.M. by Acting Chairperson Getty.
Respectfully submitted,
,,
Robert J.
