Commissioner Doherty said the applicant is asking for six month approval, <br />leaving the parking lot striping as it is. <br />Mr. Harris said that Steve McCollum was unable to attend a meeting <br />recently concerning this proposal but that he was less than enthusi- <br />astic about the application the last time it was discussed. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Doherty made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Lindsey <br />that findings as shown in the staff report, enumerated as A through C <br />can be made and that case UP-81-6 be approved for six months, with the <br />striping to remain as it now is, and that the applicant investigate the <br />two parking stalls next to Dean's making them safe, that egress from <br />the parking lot to Railroad Avenue will be encouraged, that the <br />Railroad Avenue exit be signed and that this shall be completed prior <br />to the operation of the attendant's booth. He included in this motion <br />that this parking lot will be reviewed in six months whether or not the <br />applicant desires to continue using the attendant and booth; further <br />that any fees incurred will be waived to the applicant. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey and Vice Chairperson <br />Getty <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Chairperson Wilson <br />Resolution No. 1982 was then entered and adopted approving case UP-81-6 <br />subject to the conditions indicated in the above motion. <br />Z-81-46, Pleasanton Council Chambers, Inc. <br />Application of the Pleasanton Council Chambers, Inc. for design review <br />approval which would allow the construction of an approximately 2800 sq: <br />ft. Council Chamber and conference room to be located on the north- <br />eastern portion of the Civic Center located at 200 Bernal Avenue. The <br />property is zoned P (Public and Institutional) District. <br />Mr. Harris explained the staff report and recommendation of approval. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />G. Michael Goldsworthy, Architect, spoke representing the application. <br />He said the applicant is in favor of the staff report and recommendations. <br />Mr. Goldsworthy presented a color rendering for all to see. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Doherty that case Z-81-46.be approved subject to the conditions shown <br />in the staff report of 5/13/81. <br />-4- <br /> <br />
