Mr. Harris explained the staff report and the fact that this matter was <br />continued from 4/8/81 at the applicant's request. Mr. Harris further <br />stated Condition No. 3 of the staff report is included because that <br />condition was imposed on a previous application of this nature and <br />he had no definite feelings one way or the other concerning its <br />imposition to this approval. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />David Biasotti, 350 Winton Avenue, Hayward, attorney for the applicants <br />addressed the Commission. He stated that the clientele is about <br />40~-50~ male and the proponents wanted to offer a massage service to <br />all of their customers - not just females. <br />As no one addressed the Commission concerning this application, the <br />public hearing was closed. <br />Commissioner Lindsey made a motion, seconded by Vice Chairperson Getty <br />that all required findings shown as A through C on the staff report <br />can be made and that case UP-81-5 be approved subject to the conditions <br />of the staff report, eliminating Condition No. 3. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioner Lindsey and Vice Chairperson Getty <br />Noes: Commissioners Doherty and Jamieson <br />Absent: Chairperson Wilson <br />Commissioner Lindsey said he has been acquainted with the applicants as <br />bank clients for years and that this is a very legitimate business, in <br />his opinion. <br />Commissioner Doherty said he doesn't like <br />has a problem with Condition No. 3.
