Bill Hirst said that this property was not prezoned at the request of
the property owner but by Hacienda Mobile Home Park. He stated that he
is not sure his client understood the implications of the prezoning.
Mr. Harris stated that Mr. Hirst's presumption is correct in that
there has been no other property restricted to one special use such as
this site is with regard to the mobile home park.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Commissioner
Lindsey, that case RZ-81-13 be recommended for approval subject to the
conditions of the staff report dated 9/16/81.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey and Chairperson Getty
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Wilson
Resolution No. 2063 was then entered recommending approval of case
RZ-81-13 as recommended in the staff report to the Planning Commission
dated 9/16/81.
RZ-81-19, City of Pleasanton
Application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone (Annexation No. 89)
an approximately 230 acre site located on the west side of Foothill
Road, south of Santos Ranch Road to any zoning district consistent
with the General Plan. A negative declaration of environmental impacts
was also considered.
Mr. Harris explained the staff report explaining that since the HPD
Ordinance is in a state of flux their recommendation is for the
property to be prezoned PUD.
Commissioner Jamieson asked if the staff feels that 20 ft. access is
adequate. Mr. Harris said, no, it is not adequate and that this opinion
was brought up to Council at the time of annexation and that it will be
looked into further at the time a development plan is submitted for
review.
The public hearing was opened.
Bill Hirst, 147 Bernal Avenue, spoke in support of PUD zoning.
He said he and his clients have reviewed the staff report and agree with
the recommendations thereon. He further stated that the easement is
something like 250 ft, long as opposed to 1500-2000 ft. for Santos Ranch
Road.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Jamieson, seconded by Commissioner
Lindsey that the negative declaration prepared for case RZ-81-19 be
recommended for approval because the prezoning of this property would
have no adverse significant effect on the environment.
ROLL CALL VOTE
Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Jamieson, Lindsey and Chairperson Getty
Noes: None
Absent: Commissioner Wilson
