MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />Cafeteria at the <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds <br />Pleasanton Avenue <br />Wednesday, October 14, 1981 <br />9:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 9:10 p.m. by Chairperson Joyce Getty. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Gregg Doherty, Bill Jamieson, Larry Lindsey, <br />DeWitt Wilson and Joyce Getty, Chairperson <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Staff Members Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities; <br />Brian W. Swift, Assistant City Attorney and <br />Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />Council Member Present: Karin Mohr <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Commissioner Doherty requested that the Recording Secretary check the tape <br />of the meeting of September 16, 1981 for his wording used on page 5, para- <br />graph 7, concerning case RZ-81-13. <br />The minutes of the 9/16/81 meeting were approved as submitted except <br />that the Secretary shall search the tapes and more accurately reflect <br />the comments of Mr. Doherty. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris stated that case Z-81-66, Amador Valley Savings and Loan <br />Association should be continued indefinitely for plan submittal; that <br />Item 6e be continued to October 28 and that approval of the Reynolds <br />and Brown's business park directional sign in the public right-of-way <br />be added to this agenda as Item 6f. <br />REPORT ON CITY COUNCIL ACTIONS <br />Mr. Harris reported that the only item in which Council did not concur <br />with the Planning Commission recommendation was with regard to George Oakes' <br />prezoning and that this matter is being returned to the Planning Commission <br />for reconsideration to A (Agricultural) District because of concerns <br />expressed by surrounding property owners at the October 13, 1981 City <br />Council meeting with regard to prezoning this property PUD-Industrial. <br />Mr. Harris stated that no one spoke in opposition to PUD-Industrial <br />zoning at the Planning Commission stage. He said a number of people <br />showed up at the City Council meeting in opposition to this zoning because <br />of traffic concerns on West Las Positas Boulevard and that the matter is <br />now scheduled to again go before the Planning Commission on November 12, <br />1981. <br /> <br />
