MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />ADJOURNED SPECIAL MEETING <br />Cafeteria at the <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds <br />Pleasanton Avenue <br />Pleasanton, California <br />Tuesday - December 1, 1981 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The adjourned special meeting of the Planning Commission was called <br />to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson Joyce Getty. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Gregg Doherty, Bill Jamieson, Larry Lindsey, <br />DeWitt Wilson and Chairperson Joyce Getty <br />Staff Members Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities; <br />Brian W. Swift, Assistant City Attorney; and <br />Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />Council Member Present: Karin Mohr <br />Mr. Harris stated that the Daon Corporation representatives are pre- <br />sent to give a presentation and answer any questions concerning their <br />Planned Unit Development proposal for the 91.5 acre site which will <br />be bounded by I-580, I-680, Stoneridge Drive and Stoneridge Mall <br />Road and to get Planning Commission input on their proposal. Mr. <br />Harris stated that the staff has problems with the floor area ratio; <br />and parking ratio particularly with the office sector of the <br />development. Mr. Harris further stated that matter has been con- <br />tinued from the 11/18/81 Planning Commission meeting for a work <br />session this evening. <br />Preston Cox, General Manager, Daon Corporation, 444 Market Street, <br />Suite 2500, San Francisco, CA 94111, introduced Leonard McVicar, <br />William Fisher and Mike Rockhold of Pacific Urban Design. <br />Mr. Cox indicated that they have attempted to produce a design which <br />would interact with the site and surroundings. He stated this is a <br />regional center of high quality and would be a positive contribution <br />to the community. He stated that the center would have a high degree <br />of open space with interior plazas which would benefit employees <br />and the business center itself. He indicated the location of <br />these areas on a scale model which the developers presented for <br />the Commission to see. <br />Leonard McVicar, Pacific Urban Design, stated they have followed, for <br />the most part, the presentation offered at the General Plan amendment <br />stage. He explained the noise attenuation wall proposed for Stoneridge <br />Drive, the system proposed for parking, van pooling, proposals, etc. <br />._ r_~ ~ _ . r.._.. . <br />
