Mr. Warnick indicated this was done with the Fromm Business
Park. He ekplained the contract between the group doing the
maintenance and the City.
No. 18: He would like "for the public use" inserted in the middle
of the sentence.
Commissioner Jamieson asked who in the public would
wand to use the park. Commissioner Doherty indicated
that realistically there will be joggers and others who
have lunch in the area and thought the area would get
a lot of use.
No.20: He laid since this project is going to be phased if
landscaping is installed on both sides of the streets
it might cause problems. He said the first thing they
would be doing is rough grading, bringing in utilities
and construct streets. Mr. Warnick said that it is
better to plant landscaping now and have it growing for
ten years.
Commissioner Getty concurred with this thought.
Commissioner Lindsey said that a Aroject should be as
attractive in ten years as possible and supported the
installation of landscaping at this time.
No.56: Mr. Cox asked about their participation in the signal
program. Mr. Warnick. indicated that City Council
would determine that at a future time as needed.
No. 57: He said the Barton-Aschman report does address future
development and takes into account full occupancy of
the area.
No. 59: Mr. Cox asked that this condition be eliminated.
No. 60: Mr. Warnick asked that-the following be added:
"The developer shall enter into a secured agreement to
construct this improvement upon written notification from
the City Engineer that traffic conditions warrant the
construction."
Mr. Cox asked for some assurance the burden would be
shared with others as in an assessment district.
Mr. Warnick rebutted that if the Daon project is built
prior to the assessment district coming into being, then
Daon would have to improve the area. He said it would
not be his intention to call this but the City-wants to
be careful and if needed the City would have the right
to call for it.
-5-
