RZ-82-19, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend Articles 2 (Defi- <br />nitions) and 8 ("C" Commercial Districts), Chapter 2, Title II of <br />the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton with regard to game <br />arcades, The Planning Commission may recommend any action regarding <br />this matter consistent with the General Plan, <br />Mr, Harris presented the staff report recommending approval of the <br />proposed ordinance changes. <br />The public hearing was opened, <br />No one addressed this matter. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Jamieson, that the proposed ordinance changes as stated in the staff <br />report under case RZ-82-19 be recommended for adoption, <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />Ayes: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Jamieson and <br />Chairperson Lindsey <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: Commissioner Wilson <br />Abstain: None <br />Resolution No, 2257 was then entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of the ordinance code changes as proposed in the staff report of <br />1/12/83. <br />UP-82-24, James Cross and Texaco, Inc. <br />Application of James Cross and Texaco, Inc. for conditional use <br />permit approval to operate a service station, not including the <br />sale of gasoline at 44 Mission Drive. Zoning for the property is <br />C-F (Commercial Freeway) District. <br />Mr, Harris presented the staff report and recommendation of approval, <br />He stated that findings as presented to the Planning Commission must <br />be made prior to approval action on the application itself. <br />Commissioner Getty asked if there are other service stations in <br />town which do not pump gasoline. Mr, Harris stated he didn't think <br />so. <br />Commissioner Jamieson asked about a garage in this location, Mr. <br />Harris stated the property is zoned C-F and repair garages are not <br />allowed in the C-F District, <br />Chairperson Lindsey asked if the City had any recourse to Texaco to <br />require them to raze the building. Mr. Harris indicated that under <br />the original use permit this is provided for, but the City hesitates <br />to have them do something like that. <br />-7- <br />
