Commissioner Jamieson supported affordable housing but questioned whether or not it would be appropriate housing next to very expensive housing. Mr. Wong indicated that they were at the mercy of the General Plan. Commissioner Lindsey questioned where a more appro- priate place would be stating he saw nothing wrong with this particular location, In response to a question of Commissioner Doherty, Mr. Wong said the cost of the units were not definitely established but would be in the range of $110,000-130,000. Commissioner Getty pointed out that this varied from the cost shown in the land use report furnished by the applicant, Ted C, Fairfield, Consulting Engineer, Pleasanton, represented the Hansen Ranch principles, owners of the property proposed to be used in the development of Ponderosa Homes. He indicated that the Hansens have no objections to the plan but question the off-site drainage easement, He said Hansen will grant that easement but only on the conditions that Hansens are held harmless from liability on that easement and that it is taken care of through City agreement with Ponderosa. Mr. Warnick responded that Condition No, 22 covers this and that the condition doesn't need to be changed because it allows the City to deal with Ponderosa, The public hearing was closed, Commissioner Getty said she feels strongly that something other than a wooden fence should be used.
