MEETING REOPENED FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION 'ON 'ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREP,DY ON 'THE' AGENDA Mr. Ted Jones, 41655 Osgood Road, Fremont, asked the Planning Com- mission to reopen this portion of the agenda inasmuch as he is unfamiliar with proper proceedings and was not recognized at the commencement of the meeting. He asked for clarification as to whether or not a small batch plant could locate at 3932 Old Santa Rita Road, Chairperson Lindsey asked if there was ever a batch plant on the premises currently used for a rental service. Mr, Jones said there was, but it was removed sometime ago. Commissioner Jamieson asked about the operation of Mr. Jones Fremont plant. Mr. Jones explained, Mr. Harris stated that this proposed use is one specified in the I-G District but not in the C-S District but if determined this is an ancillary use it could go at the rental yard on Old Santa Rita Road, Commissioner Doherty asked if Mr. Adams had a batch plant across the street, Mr, Harris responded that Mr. Adams does not have batch plant approval. Commissioner Wilson suggested this matter be continued to the next Planning Commission meeting, Mr, Harris then explained that the uses allowed in the C-S District would probably have to be changed, with recommendations of the Commission to the City Council. Commissioner Doherty didn't want to change the Ordinance Code as he did not believe this use is proper for the C-S District. Commissioner Jamieson supported Commissioner Doherty. The full Commission then concurred that a batch plant is not a proper use for the C-S District and refused to initiate a code amendment to that effect.
