Mr. Harris suggested that the Planning Commission
allow the parties to resolve the differences before the
proposal comes before the City Council.
Commissioner Wilson asked about the type of fencing being
proposed and Mr. Fisk responded that it would be chainlink
with redwood slats.
Commissioner Lindsey asked if the materials stored would be
less than the six feet height of the fence. Mr. Fisk indicated
it would be.
Bob Erickson, Sales Manager, Westinghouse Supply, Concord,
stated he would be the manager of the proposed facility.
He reviewed the type of items to be stored. They would
supply contractors with electrical products on a wholesale
basis. Mr. Erickson said that Westinghouse doesn't make any
PCB transformers and there will be no storage of such transformers
having PCB of any brand.
Commissioner Wilson asked about the sales tax revenue generated
from this business. Mr. Erickson indicated that in excess
of 900 of their sales are subject to sales tax.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by
Commissioner Getty that approval of PUD-82-18-3D will have
no adverse environmental effect and therefore that the Negative
Declaration prepared for this case be recommended for approval..
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYE5: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey,
Wilson and Chairman Jamieson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2326 was entered and adopted recommending approval
of the Negative Declaration prepared for CASE PUD-82-18-3D as
motioned.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner
Doherty that case PUD-82-18-3D be recommended for approval
subject to the conditions shown in the staff report of 7/13/83
with the understanding that staff and applicant are to work
together to resolve differences in conditions prior to this
matter being considered by the.
