MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />8/10/83 <br />Page 5 <br />Mr. Mac L. Carter, 3127 Weymouth Court, stated that he had talked to <br />Mr. Jordan last Thursday on the telephone. He had no way to contact <br />Mr. Roquette and that Mr. Roquette had no information whatsoever. In <br />all fairness, he did want the Commission to know that the applicant <br />tried to make contact. <br />This matter was then continued to 8/24/83. <br />UP-83-24, Saga Properties and Sherrod Marshall Associates. <br />Application of Saga Properties and Sherrod Marshall Associates for <br />conditional use permit approval for the operation of a game arcade wtihin <br />a restaurant facility (Black Angus Restaurant), located north of the <br />intersection of Canyon Way and Stoneridge Mall Road. Zoning for the <br />property is CR (Regional Commercial) District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval and it <br />is the opinion of the staff that all required findings can be made. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Mr. Pickering, the manager of the restaurant, addressed the Commission <br />stating the hours of operation. He stated the video games would be <br />placed in the lobby. He had no questions but indicated he would be <br />happy to answer any presented. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Getty that all findings can be made (stated in the staff report) and <br />that case UP-83-24 be approved subject to the conditions shown in the <br />staff report of 8/10/83. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Arrigoni, Getty, Lindsey and <br />Acting Chairman Wilson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Doherty and Chairman Jamieson <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2342 was entered and adopted approving case UP-83-24 <br />as motioned. <br />Commissioner Lindsey stated that the Honey Tree Yog.urtShop has four <br />video machines in it. <br />Commissioner Getty asked how Mr. Pickering knew about our ordinance <br />governing video games. He responded that Lee Sammis informed him and <br />that he had received a copy of the ordinance in the mail. <br />MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br />Mr. Harris stated that there will be a joint Planning Commission/City <br />Council meeting on 8/16/83, 7:OOpm regarding sewer and growth management. <br />. _ ....__ _._ _ ... _.. __.__. -~-- -___ ..,... ., ,__.. ._ _ r . . <br />
