MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />10/12/83 <br />Page 5 <br />Commissioner Doherty stated that in various newspapers, there <br />are articles about planned growth. He stated what we are seeing <br />is a well planned, controlled development and different that <br />anything in California or perhaps all of the western states. <br />He stated this particular application is specific and shows <br />what is being done. The Planning Commission and City Council <br />are very concerned with what is taking place. The other Commissioners <br />agreed with these comments. <br />PUD-80-16-2D, Center Park Associates <br />App ication o Center Park Associates for design review approval <br />of three single-story business park buildings and related facilities <br />on approximately 5.8 acres in the Meyer Business Park as follows; <br />an approximately 26,000 sq. ft. building on approximately 1.7 <br />acres on the west side of Franklin Drive opposite Morse Drive; <br />an approximately 26,000 sq. ft. building on approximately 1.7 <br />acres on the west side of Frankliin Drive, just north of its <br />intersection with Morse Drive; and an approximately 34,000 sq. <br />ft. building on approximately 2.4 acres on the north side of <br />Franklin Drive approximately 600 feet west of its intersection <br />with Johnson Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development)-Industrial/Commercial and Offices District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report stating that this appears <br />to be a quality development and the staff is recommending approval <br />of it. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Bart Rinker, One Annabelle Lane, San Ramon, indicated that <br />they have read the staff report and conditions and are in full <br />agreement with them. He stated, however, that they are proposing <br />a slight change to the plans; solar grey glass and grey roofing <br />tile. He indicated that these changes make their structures <br />compatible with the others in the Meyer Business Park as approved <br />under the PUD ordinance. They have worked very closely with <br />Meyer Properties in their proposed development. Mr. Harris <br />stated staff has no problem with the changes if the renderings <br />reflect the true colors.
