MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />10/12/83 <br />Page 16 <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner <br />Lindsey that case PUD-80-16-1M be recommended for approval as <br />stated in the staff report relating to this case. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty, Lindsey <br />and Chairman Jamieson <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Wilson <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution N0. 2370 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of case PUD 80-16-1M as motioned. <br />PUD-83-20, Victor Lund, Jr., et al <br />Application of Victor Lund, Jr., et al for PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-development plan approval of a 159 lot single-family <br />residential development project on approximately 53 acres located <br />at the eastern terminus of Junipero Street and San Jose Drive. <br />Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Low <br />Density Residential District. A negative declaration of environmental <br />impacts will also be considered. <br />This matter was continued indefinitely for revision of plans. <br />RZ-83-6, Cit of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City o Pleasanton to amend certain provisions <br />of Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of <br />Pleasanton with regard to outdoor sales. <br />Mr. Harris presented the recommendations of staff. <br />Commissioner Doherty discussed the various businesses in town <br />with outdoor displays such as Duke's in the Amador shopping <br />center who does a good job with Sprouse Reitz, Grutmans and <br />Carls as being all over the sidewalk; Tru Value displays merchandise <br />with some taste except for the screened in shed on the sidewalk, <br />but then it is the best stocked hardware store in town. He <br />asked who would policing the outdoor displays. Mr. Harris said <br />it is the responsibility of the zoning administrator of the <br />City. <br />Lori Scott Vintner, 210 Rose Avenue, represented the Chamber <br />of Commerce on this subject. She said that Mr. Harris has actively <br />participated in the subcomittee relating to this. The committee <br />consisted of at least one person in each shopping center and/or <br />area. She said many dropped out for lack of interest. She <br />presented a history of the concerns and suggestions of the committee <br />and the City. She presented photographs of what the Chamber <br />saw as a good display which was well planned and aesthetically <br />pleasing. <br />-16- <br />
