Commissioner Lindsey said they want a viable downtown area and referred to Danville, Los Gatos, Saratoga and other area which are viable. He stated that the bank for which he works had to meet parking requirements and the intent of the ordinance is to assist old existing structures where parking is at a minimum. A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner Doherty that case RZ-83-8 be recommended for approval. ROLL CALL VOTE AYES: Commissioners Doherty, Getty and Lindsey NOES: Commissioner Wilson and Chairman Jamieson ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None Resolution No. 2400 was entered and adopted recommending approval of case RZ-83-8 as recommended in the staff report. Chairman Jamieson stated he voted 'no' because he concurs with Commissioner Wilson that it would set double standards. GP-83-10, City of Pleasanton Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Safety Element of the general plan with regard to smoke, glare, lighting, electrical interference, and other navigation hazards in flight zones near local aviation facilities. The Planning Commission may recommend any action on this matter deemed in the public interest. A negative declaration was recommended for approval at the November 9, 1983 Planning Commission hearing. This matter was continued to 12/14/83. NEW BUSINESS Public Hearings Tract 5224, Ponderosa Homes Application of Ponderosa Homes to subdivide approximately 43 acres into 180 single-family lots and a 5 acre park site located southeast of the confluence of the Arroyo de la Laguna and Pleasanton Canal. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential District. Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval. He indicated that the proposal is in conformance with the approved PUD for the site. However, no street names are shown on the map. He asked Ponderosa for a list of street names and it was lost in the mails. He finally received a subsequent list only today. The list must be circulated and reviewed by the County and postoffice prior to being submitted to the Planning Commission for approval. He asked the Commission to consider the map and add a requirement if they feel it is necessary that the street names come back before the Commission at a later date. Commissioner Lindsey asked if putting the map off would delay the developer.
