CONTRACT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA FOR ADDITIONAL LIBRARY SERVICES INTENT WHEREAS, current funding level for County Library services provides for forty (40) open hours per week at the Pleasanton Branch of the Alameda County Library System, and WHEREAS, the citizens of Pleasanton wish to have the Pleasanton Branch Library open more than the County funded forty (40) hours per week, and WHEREAS, the members of the Pleasanton City Council have authorized funding for the increases in staffing and utility costs required to open the Pleasanton Branch twenty-two {22) additional hours for a total of 62 open hours per week; therefore, The City of Pleasanton and the County of Alameda agree to provide twenty-two (22) additional hours per week of library services at the Pleasanton Branch of the Alameda County Library System subject to the following terms and conditions. TERMS AND CONDITIONS l) Effective Dates: This contract will be in effect from July l, lggO to June 30, 1991. 2) Services Described: The County of Alameda agrees to provide twenty-two (22) additional hours of Library Services at the Pleasanton Branch Library from July l, lggO to June 30, lggl as follows: Sunday, l:O0 to 5:00 p.m.; Monday, lO:O0 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.; and Thursday, lO:O0 a.m. to l:O0 p.m., excluding County observed holidays. 3) Payments: The City of Pleasanton agrees to pay the County of Alameda $172,i41 in four {4) quarterly installments as follows: September 30, 1990 - $43,035.25 December 31, 1990 - $43,035.25 March 3l, 1991 - $43,035.25 June 30, 1991 - $43,035.25 4) Extension: All terms and conditions of this contract may be extended, by mutual agreement, on a year-to-year basis, provided the amount paid by the City of Pleasanton to the County of Alameda is adjusted annually to reflect increases/decreases to the costs connected with providing the services.
