and one -half percent (7 -1/2 %) of the employee's annual <br /> salary, exclusive of any overtime. Such compensation <br /> shall be paid in two equal installments. Such payments <br /> are to be made on the first payday after December 1 and <br /> the first payday after June 1. <br /> Employees shall receive prorated holiday pay upon <br /> termination. <br /> Section 10. Acting officer Pay <br /> In the absence of the assigned officer, a Firefighter will <br /> act as a Lieutenant only on squad and patrol type <br /> vehicles. <br /> An employee assigned as an acting officer shall upon such <br /> assignment receive (in addition to his /her regular rate of <br /> pay), an amount equal to five percent (5 %) of his /her <br /> regular hourly rate for each hour so assigned. <br /> Use of acting officers will not be employed as a permanent <br /> method of filling vacant officer positions. <br /> Section 11. Acting Engineer's Pay <br /> An employee assigned as an acting engineer shall upon such <br /> assignment receive, (in addition to his /her regular rate <br /> of pay) an amount equal to five percent (5 %) of his /her <br /> regular hourly rate for each hour so assigned. <br /> Section 12. Squad Driver /Operator Pay <br /> Firefighters assigned as driver operators on the <br /> department's rescue squads shall be paid two and one -half <br /> percent (2 -1/2 %) of their regular hourly rate of pay for <br /> all hours so worked in said assignment. No payment shall <br /> be made for hours worked less than one -half a shift. <br /> Section 13. EMT Pay <br /> Employees in the classifications represented by the Union <br /> shall be paid EMT pay in the amount of $35.00 per month. <br /> Said amount shall be in addition to the regular rates of <br /> pay set forth in Section 5.1 of this Agreement. EMT pay <br /> shall represent full payment for all emergency medical <br /> services and protocols adopted by the City. Effective at <br /> the beginning of the first pay period in June 1993, said <br /> $35.00 payment shall be converted to one percent (1 %) of <br /> the regular rates of pay set forth in Section 5.1 of this <br /> Agreement. <br /> - 11 - <br />
