MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, August 8, 1984 <br />8:OOpm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission meeting was called to order at 9:15pm by Chairman <br />Gregg Doherty. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: John Innes, Larry Lindsey,Kaye Wellman, DeWitt <br />Wilson and Gregg Doherty, Chairman <br />Commissioner Absent: Joyce Getty (family funeral) <br />Staff Members Absent: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development, Robert L. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities; Robert Okamura, Assistant <br />City Engineer; Brian W. Swift, Assistant City <br />Attorney and Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the 6/27/84 and 7/11/84 Planning Commission meetings were <br />approved as submitted with the following changes: 7/11/84 page 9, the Commission <br />directed staff to meet with all of the traffic consultants doing work in <br />Pleasanton and come to agreeable assumptions to be used in future traffic <br />surveys. 6/27/84 Special Planning Commission meeting, page 8, 5th paragraph <br />he indicated that he had specifically asked the attorney for the Stoneridge <br />condominiums that if he were asked to participate using "B" stock in the <br />$16,000 assessment if they would particupate and his answer was "yes they <br />would." The Board of Adjustment Minutes of 7/11/84 were also approved at <br />this meeting. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION ON <br />ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA <br />No one addressed this matter. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Vice Chairman Wilson requested that Item 6m, case RZ-84-12, Outdoor sales <br />be heard first. The Commission concurred. <br />Commissioner Lindsey was very fortunate to have represented the City's Planning <br />Commission in Tulancingo, Mexico along with 14 other Pleasanton individuals <br />recently. The City is 60 miles north of Mexico City. On September 19, 1984 <br />they will be sending 14-16 people to Pleasanton for four-six days. He urged <br />everyone to follow local newspaper coverage and meet with the people from <br />Mexico during this time. <br />
