MINUTES
P~.,A.NNING COMMISSION
June 27, 1984
Page 3
Z-84-157, Meyer Business Park
Application of Scott Architectural Graphics for temporary real estate signs for Centerpark
Business Park (Meyer Business Park) to be located at the intersection of Stoneridge Drive/Denker
Drive and at the intersection of Johnson Drive/Franklin Drive. The property is zoned PUD
(Planned Unit Development)-Industrial/Commercial and Offices District.
Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval for a period of two years.
The public hearing was opened.
Jan Robinson, 1275 N. Dutton Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA 95492, presented their proposal and
urged the Commission to agree to it.
Chairman Doherty asked if Ms. Robinson had received a copy of the staff report. She acknowledged
that she had received it and concurs with the conditions imposed thereon.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Wilson, seconded by Commissioner Innes that case
Z-84-157 be approved subject to the conditions shown in the staff report.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Innes, Wilson and Chairman Doherty
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2489 was entered and adopted approving case Z-84-157 as motioned.
UP-84-27, Stoneson Development Corporation
Application of Stoneson Development Corporation for a conditional use permit to allow
the establishment and operation of a subdivision sales office and model home complex in
three residential units located at the southeast corner of Springdale Avenue and Stonedale
Drive. The property is zoned PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential
District.
Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval of case UP-84-27 as it is staff's
opinion that all required findings can be made to grant it.
Commissioner Innes asked how wide Rosedale and Springdale Avenue are. Mr. Harris indicated
he felt Springdale Avenue is probably 40' and he was unsure of Rosedale inasmuch as it is
a private street.
The public hearing was opened.
Art Schumacher, Stoneson development, 3150 20th Avenue, San Francisco, indicated he
has read the staff report and has no problems with any of the conditions imposed on it.
Michael Perkins, 5371 Brookside Drive in the Stoneridge Townhouse development currently
existing, felt it would be immoral and unethical to approve a conditional use permit for
a model home and sales complex for Stoneson Development Corporation, when their previously
developed townhouse project has so many problems caused by leaking roofs and the developer
doesn't take care of the problems that develop in their projects. 98 roofs leak and some
of them for seven years. Stoneson's reaction is "sue us." Every homeowner has been assessed
more than $9,000 to pay for roofs and initiate a lawsuit. This has added at least $200
