MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />6/13/84 <br />Page 12 <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Getty, Innes, Lindey Wilson and <br />Chairman Doherty <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Resolution No. 2481 was entered and adopted approving case UP-84-23 as motioned. <br />UP-84-24, Hopyard Preschool <br />Application of Hopyard Preschool for a conditional use permit to enlarge an <br />existing preschool from 60 to 120 children located at 1251 Hopyard Road. Zoning <br />for the property is R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District. A negative <br />declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />This item was continued to 7/11/84. <br />PUD-81-30-13D, Callahan-Pentz Properties, Pleasanton <br />Application of Callahan-Pentz Properties, Pleasanton for design plan approval <br />for an approximately 41,000 sq. ft. office building to be located on the north <br />side of West Las Positas Boulevard, between Gibraltar Drive and Tassajara Creek. <br />Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial Commercial <br />and Offices District. <br />Mr. Harris presented the staff report recommending approval. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Howard Sword, 2171 Goldcrest, represented Callahan Pentz Properties. They <br />have reviewed the staff report and have no objections to any of it. <br />Commissioner Innes asked if there was anyone present who could speak to the <br />traffic study for this application inasmuch as with occupancy and approval <br />of this project, the intersection will be at LOS D. Mr. Sword asked if anyone <br />knew what the recommendations were when the intersection reached LOS D. Mr. <br />Swift indicated that the applicant could continue to submit for approval and <br />that the Director of Engineering can recommend a TSM program, i.e. the types <br />of things which are attempting to be done already. Mr. Swift indicated that <br />the traffic studies do not include any of the improvements for the Stoneridge <br />interchange nor the Hacienda interchange. Chairman Doherty asked when the <br />Las Positas overpass would be completed. Mr. Warnick indicated that the final <br />touches are now being completed. Commissioner Innes said he felt 86% is high <br />for the intersections. <br />The public hearing was closed <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Getty, seconded by Commissioner Lindsey that <br />case PUD-81-30-13D be recommended for approval subject to the conditions shown <br />in the staff report. <br />-12- <br />
