Cites of Pleasanton„ Wells Fargo Bank, NA
Application for an amendment to the Development Agreement between the City of
Pleasanton and Wells Fargo Bank, NA, for the Stoneridge Shopping Center and surrounding
peripheral properties. The amendment is required to conform the terms of the Development
Agreement with the plans presented by Doubletree, Inc., for the four acre site located
adjacent and to the west of 6000 Stoneridge Mall Road to use a portion of the property
for a hotel. Zoning for the property is CR(p) (Regional Commercial-peripheral) District.
Mr. Glenn presented the staff report recommending approval of this application.
Mr. Swift, Assistant City Attorney, reviewed the basic facts of the development agreement.
The current development agreement limits the FAR to 80,000 sq. ft. and Doubletree
is larger than that and the agreement needs to be amended to allow an additional approximately
10,000 sq. ft. The second issue in the agreement is that the applicants want it clarified
that hotels/motels are allowed in the CR(p) with a conditional use permit. The balance
of the agreement will stand as now written.
The public hearing was opened.
Jim Harpool, Wickliff Company, urged approval of the amendment to the development
agreement.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Getty that the development agreement between
the City of Pleasanton et al be amended as shown in the staff report.
