MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, May 9, 1984 <br />8:OOpm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission was called to order at 8:30pm by Vice Chairman Wilson. <br />Members Present: Joyce Getty, Larry Lindsey and Vice Chairman DeWitt Wilson <br />Members Absent: Gregg Doherty, Chairman (out of town) <br />Note: There is no fifth Planning Commissioner replacing Bill Jamieson who retired <br />on May 5, 1984 at this time. <br />Staff Members Present: Richard Glenn, Assistant Planner, Robert L. Warnick, Director <br />of Public Works and Utilities; Robert Okamura, Asisstant City <br />Engineer; Brian W. Swift, Assistant City Attorney and Shirley <br />McDougall, Recording Secretary. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the April 11 and April 25, 1984 meetings were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION <br />ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA <br />No one addressed this item. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Vice Chairman Wilson told Mr. Glenn that he has enjoyed working with him over the <br />years and bids him good luck in leaving the City on Friday. Commissioner Lindsey <br />thanked Mr. Glenn for all of his assistance during his tenure. Commissioner Getty <br />supported these compliments. <br />Commissioner Getty asked about the status of the newspaper dispenser ordinance. <br />Mr. Glenn reported that Standard Details, ordinance and applications were recently <br />mailed to the vendors for program implementation. <br />Commissioner Getty then asked about parking in the Stanley Business park and whether <br />or not any complaints have been received especially from Valley Auction. Mr. Glenn <br />suggested that there might be conditions imposed on projects approval whereby automobiles <br />must be parked on site but no complaints have been received. Mr. Warnick stated <br />that the Traffic Committee has recently recommended to City Council that parking <br />be prohibited on the north side of the street in front of Big O.
