MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, April 25, 1984 <br />8:OOpm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commisison meeting of 4/25/84 was called to order at 9:08pm <br />by Chairman William Jamieson. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />Commissioners Present: Gregg Doherty, Joyce Getty, Larry Lindsey, <br />DeWitt Wilson and Bill Jamieson <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Staff Members Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Robert L. Warnick, <br />Director of Public Works and Utilities, <br />Brian W. Swift, Assistant City Attorney, <br />Robert Okamura, Assistant City Engineer; <br />and Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />There were no minutes submitted for approval. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION <br />ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA. <br />Jack Hovingh, 4250 Muirwood Drive indicated he was aware that Mr. Jamieson <br />was retiring from the Planning Commission and stated he would like to <br />say that he appreciated all of the thought, efforts and judgment of Mr. <br />Jamieson during his tenure. Mr. Jamieson shows good common sense and Mr. Hovingh <br />thanked him for a job well done. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris indicated that Item 5c, relating to the Bank of America should <br />be continued indefinitely for lack of response by the applicant. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Getty presented a gift from the Planning Commissions to Mr. <br />Jamieson and indicated that it has been a real pleasure to serve on the <br />Commission with him. Commissioner Doherty reiterated the comments <br />and stated that Bill is an excellent person to work with and has enjoyed <br />working with him over the past eight years. Commissioner Lindsey indicated <br />his pleasure in working with Mr. Jamieson for the last four years. He <br />hoped Mr. Jamieson would enjoy his golf games. Mr. Jamieson indicated <br />that he really appreciated the knife given to him by his fellow Commissioners <br />and stated that his family had taken him to dinner earlier in celebration <br />of his retirement on the Planning Commission. They presented him with <br />a plaque which thanked him for helping to approve Macys. <br />_.,.__. _ __ _....__. ___ __ T <br />
