TDA 4.5 Document F,(a) <br />Page 6 <br />Marketing for the PPS is completed through the City of Pleasanton Parks and <br />Community Services Department. Pleasanton Paratransit is promoted in the <br />quarterly Activities Guide, produced and distributed to all Pleasanton residents <br />(26,000 households). <br />Staff distributes program brochures to local stores, medical offices, the library, <br />schools, service centers, etc. Aone-page PPS flyer has been developed as an <br />inexpensive marketing tool used in mass mailings and distribution. <br />The Pleasanton Paratransit Service Riders' Guide is mailed to all existing clients. <br />It is also distributed to all new clients, local businesses, medical offices, the <br />library, senior housing complexes, and service centers. <br />The bi-annual Pleasanton Paratransit Service (PPS) Newsletter, "Around Town <br />with PPS", was developed through volunteer and staff efforts. This newsletter is <br />mailed to over 800 registered clients, and distributed to the major senior housing <br />and community stops. It has been well received, and serves as a valuable resource <br />for transit information. <br />The second annual PPS Transit Fair was held March 16, 2007, and included <br />transit providers from around the Bay Area. Residents had an opportunity to learn <br />about a variety of transit resources. <br />"The Access Alameda Transit Guide developed through ACTIA is also distributed <br />to all new paratransit clients. <br />The City of Pleasanton web site (www.ci.pleasanton.ca.us) includes a City of <br />Pleasanton Paratransit information page. The paratransit application is also <br />available on the City website. <br />Local transit information is coordinated through collaborative marketing efforts <br />with LAVTA. All Pleasanton Paratransit Service printed materials include <br />information about the services offered by LAVTA, and vice versa. WHEELS <br />route information and passes are available at the Pleasanton Senior Center. <br />Regular outreach meetings are held with LAVTA staff at local senior housing <br />complexes. These mini-transit fairs are very popular. In addition, the PPS <br />Supervisor attends LAVTA's Wheels Accessible Advisory Committee meetings. <br />Senior and Disabled BART passes are sold at the Pleasanton Senior Center and <br />the City's Utility Billing Department. <br />
