significant backlash from the larger cities in the region'like San Francisco, Oakland, <br />Berkeley, and San Jose. <br />It was the consensus of the Commission that the staffjrecommendation approving the <br />Draft RHNA methodology be passed along to the City Council as written. The <br />Commission thanked staff for providing an update on~this item. <br />E. Appointment of New Chairperson and Vice Chairperson for 2007 <br />Scott Erickson introduced this item, noting that it was, the time of year where annual <br />appointments are made for chair and vice chair for the 2007 calendar year. <br />It was moved by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Chairperson Harris, to <br />nominate Amy Hodgett to serve as chairperson for 2007. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />It was moved by Vice Chairperson Hodgett, seconded by Chairperson Harris, to <br />nominate Dave Stark to serve as vice chairperson for 2007. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Commissioners Hodgett and Stark thanked the Commps'sion for their support. <br />9. MATTERS INITIATED BY MEMBERS OF THEICOMM[SSION <br />[There were none.] <br />10. DISCUSSION OF AGENDA AND SCHEDULE FOR JANUARY 18 2007 <br />MEETING <br />Scott Erickson stated that the January meeting agenda,would include the following: <br />• Discussion of the affordable housing plan for the Oa'k Grove project (continued from <br />tonight's meeting); <br />• Discussion of the affordable housing plan for the Ponderosa/Lehman project; <br />• Update regarding the Public Advocates law suit, including a discussion with a <br />representative of the City's legal staff; and <br />• Recommendation regarding the condominium conversion ordinance (following the <br />January 11 workshop). <br />"fhe Commission also requested an update regarding the status of any expiring below- <br />market rental agreements. <br />Page - 7 - <br />
