MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, March 14, 1984 <br />8:OOpm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission meeting of March 14, 1984 was called to order at 8:55pm <br />by Chairman William Jamieson. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Commissioners Present: Gregg Doherty, Joyce Getty, Larry Lindsey, DeWitt <br />Wilson and Chairman Bill Jamieson <br />Commissioners Absent: None (A1 Arrigoni, Alternate, was not present) <br />Staff Members Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Robert L. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities; Robert Okamura, Assistant City <br />Engineer; Brian W. Swift, Assistant City Attorney; <br />Dolores Bengtson, Director of Recreation and Human <br />Services;and Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of 2/22/84 and 2/8/84 were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION ON ANY <br />ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA. <br />Nina O'Donnell, 228 Kottinger, presented a copy of a petition which she is <br />currently circulating in opposition to the posted notice of intention to <br />sell alcoholic beverages at 4321 First Street. She has collected about 200 <br />signatures thus far and has until April 2 to submit the petition to the Alcoholic <br />Beverage Control. She stated there are nine off-sale beer and wine licenses <br />currently in the area, two of which are within 500' of each other. She felt <br />it would add to an already bad traffic situation in the area. She resides <br />within 100' of the proposed site. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris announced there were no revisions or omissions to the agenda but <br />that the Commission might want to put case GP-83-16, Perasso, as the first <br />item on their agenda. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Doherty stated he attended the League of California Cities Planning <br />Commissioners Institute wherein he attended numerous sessions having to do <br />with the Brown Act, Conflict of Interest and other items for which he has <br />many documents he wishes to share with the City Attorney, City Manager a~ <br />well as the Planning Commission. <br />~..........-_.~_......r._._ ... ... .__. _..........___._. ~ ._._._ ._.. .. .. _..__ - .... _.. _.. _.. _.....
