MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, January 25, 1984 <br />8:OOpm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission meeting of 1/25/84 was called to order at 8:24pm by Chairman <br />Bill Jamieson. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />R(~T.T. (''AT.T, <br />Commissioners Present: Gregg Doherty, Joyce Getty, Larry Lindsey, DeWitt <br />Wilson and Chairman Bill Jamieson. Al Arrigoni, <br />Alternate was also present <br />Commissioners Absent: None <br />Staff Members Present: Robert J. Harris, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Robert L. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities; Robert Okamura, Assistant City <br />Engineer; Brian W. Swift, Assistant City Attorney; <br />and Shirley McDougall, Recording Secretary <br />APPROVAL OF P.~INUTES <br />The Minutes of the 1/11/84 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION <br />ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE AGENDA <br />No one addressed this item. <br />REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Mr. Harris announced that the following items should be continued to the dates indicated: <br />PUD-83-16 to 2/8/84; PUD-83-25 to 2/22/84; PUD-83-17 to 2/8/84, UP-83-60 indefinitely; <br />PUD-80-14-2M withdrawn; GP-83-16 to 2/8/84. The Commission agreed to these <br />changes in the agenda after discusisng reasons for the various requests. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Getty, Lindsey and Arrigoni presented the other Commissioners with <br />a magnified glass for perusal of plans. <br />PUD-83-16, Val West, Inc. <br />Application of Val West,Inc. for PUD (Planned Unit Development)-development plan <br />approval of a 231 unit residential development project on approximately 35 acres <br />located on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite Sauterne Way. Zoning for <br />the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential District. <br />A negative declaration of environmental impacts will also be considered. <br />This was continued to 2/8/84 as announced. <br />
