Minutes
Planning Commissioi.
July 24, 1985
1990 and that is five years off. There would be no benefit to
this development in putting up the soundwall. They propose an 8
ft. wall for 700'. They propose to reduce the height of the wall
from 8' to 6'. Chairman Wilson felt that the condition relating
to the soundwall could best be worked out between staff and the
applicant by adding Condition No. 16 as stated earlier.
Mr. Morgan had concerns about the sidewalk and not having it the
same size for its full length. He didn't like to see pedestrians
and bicycles on the same side walk. Mr. Swift stated that the
State dictates the size of bike/ped paths when they are in fact
called that.
The public hearing was closed.
A motion was made by Commissioner Wellman, seconded by
Commissioner Lindsey that approval of Case PUD-85-12 could cause
an insignificant effect on the environment but that conditions
imposed in project approval would reduce the potential
significant effects to an insignificant level and therefore
recommend that the Mitigated Negative Declaration for PUD-85-12
be recommended for approval.
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, Innes, Lindsey, Wellman and
Chairman Wilson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2679 was entered and adopted recommending approval
of Case PUD-8-12 as motioned.
A motion was made by Commissioner Wellman, seconded by
Commissioner Innes, that Case PUD-85-12 be recommended for
approval subject to the conditions of the staff report, amending
number 4, and 10, eliminating number 9 and adding number 16 to
read as follows:
4. That the proposed soundwall be extended 20' beyond south to
the emergency access driveway and north to the end of the
subject parcel. The final design and color of this wall
shall be submitted to the Planning Director for review and
approval. This shall be 8' in height and match the 700 ft.
long wall.
9. Delete
10. That the meandering sidewalk proposed along Stonedale Drive
be extended south to the existing sidewalk at Maywood Drive
and north of the westernmost crosswalk at Stoneridge Mall
Road. The sidewalk shall be a minimum of 8 ft. in width in
order to also be utilized as bike path. This sidewalk shall
be designed to the approval of the City Engineering
Department.
- 14 -
