Minutes
Planning Commissioi
June 26, 1985
ROLL CALL VOTE
AYES: Commissioners Innes, Lindsey, Michelotti,
Wellman and Chairman Wilson
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Hoyt
ABSTAIN: None
Resolution No. 2666 was entered and adopted approving Tract 5508
as motioned.
Tract 5506, John and Jocelyn Perasso
Application of John and Jocelyn Perasso for tentative subdivision
map approval for a 10 unit condominium development on an
approximately 1.0 acre site located at 123 Ray Street. Zoning
for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density
Residential District.
Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of
Tract 5506 as it conforms with the General Plan and zoning for
the subject site.
The public hearing was opened.
Chairman Wilson expressed concern that the engineer for the
project was not in attendance.
Tony Cavestri, 4126 Walnut Drive, had no objections to the
subdivision but wanted to know why the structure was demolished
and construction halted. The tree next to Mr. Cavestri's yard
was to have been removed and this hasn't been done. He
reiterated that he will be gaining 2 ft. on his property. The
Chairman then asked staff to respond.
Mr. Okamura was not aware of any reason why the tree hasn't been
removed. Mr. Cavestri felt that the site is in terrible
condition and is a fire hazard. Mr. Swift stated that the
applicant has not yet submitted improvement plans. They
apparently took out the demolition permit and are waiting for
approval of their plans.
Commissioner Lindsey asked if staff can have someone look at the
debris. Mr. Swift indicated that the Fire Marshal and Building
Department can look at it.
The public hearing was closed.
Commissioner Innes asked if there has been discussion with the
applicant and/or his representative. Mr. Swift stated that the
planners who worked on the staff report talked to the applicant.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lindsey, seconded by
Commissioner Michelotti that Tract 5506 be approved subject to
the conditions shown in the staff report.
- 6 -
