Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />September 10, 1986 <br />Mr. Martin stated that he has slides of the proposed building but <br />does not have them with him tonight. He assured the Commission <br />that the slides better depict their proposal. <br />Commissioner Michelotti expressed concern with traffic mitigation <br />and asked when monitoring would take place as outlined in the <br />General Plan. Mr. Swift said Hopyard/Owens intersection is <br />monitored. Discussion ensued about the relocation of the signal <br />standards and taking out the pedestrian island. Mr. Swift <br />indicated that Engineering doesn't want to see this done unless <br />it is absolutely necessary because it would make the intersection <br />non-standard. <br />Chairman Lindsey stated that the Hopyard Road overcrossing will <br />be finished before the other approvals become realistic. <br />Commissioner Michelotti asked when construction would start on <br />the Martin Company project. Mr. Martin said they plan to have <br />the project completed in Spring 1988. Commissioner Michelotti <br />said that the Hopyard Road interchange should be finished by <br />December 1987. Commissioner Michelotti would like to see some <br />language in these conditions for monitoring traffic through the <br />computer to determine the LOS. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Wellman, seconded by <br />Commissioner Hoyt that PUD-81-30-36D be approved subject to the <br />conditions of the staff report with the understanding that slides <br />showing the elevation of the proposed buildings are to be shown <br />to the Commissioners within seven days of the date of this <br />approval, with the understanding that if the Commissioners do not <br />like the elevation as shown, the applicant will submit to further <br />Planning Commission review, including withdrawal of his <br />application from the Council agenda if necessary. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt,Innes, Michelotti, Wellman and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Resolution No. 2839 was entered and adopted recommending approval <br />of Case PUD-81-30-36D as motioned. <br />Traffic Computer Report <br />The Commission asked that this item be put first on the next <br />agenda. <br />MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br />There were none. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />- 21 - <br />_ __.. r_ <br />
