Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />September 10, 1986 <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Ber er <br />Complimented staff on the tennis courts on Hopyard Road; <br />asked staff to look into the situation of the empty median <br />strip between Mohr and Valley Avenues where there are no <br />trees; <br />supported City Council's decision to go back to the Bay Area <br />median income for affordable housing and use the Tri-valley <br />median only for the north Pleasanton area. <br />OLD BUSINESS - Public Hearings <br />RZ-86-4, City of Pleasanton <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Municipal Code <br />relating to regulation of signage for multi-story office <br />structures. <br />This item was continued indefinitely. <br />PUD-82-10-3M, Grey Eagle <br />Application of Grey Eagle for a major modification to an approved <br />development plan to allow for the relocation of the designated <br />building pad for Parcel 14 within the 28-unit residential <br />development located on the south side of the eastern terminus of <br />Crellin Road. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Low Density Residential District. <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of <br />this application. Commissioner Innes and Mr. Swift discussed <br />possible concerns of the Police and Fire Departments with the <br />proposal. Mr. Swift indicated that they are comfortable with the <br />current proposal. <br />Staff and the Commission discussed the location and slope of the <br />driveway, cutting and movement of dirt. Mr. Swift reported that <br />the slope down the nose of the ridge is probably in the 3:1 <br />range. <br />The public hearing was opened. <br />Tom Plummer, 39 California Avenue, stated they have redesigned <br />the plan. The house has been lowered in elevation and placed <br />behind the large existing oak tree. The driveway has been <br />modified because of the previous concerns voiced. <br />Mr. Plummer stated they agree with the conditions of the staff <br />report with the exception of No. 3 requiring the completion of <br />the roadway, including storm drainage completion prior to <br />October 15, 1986. They want to be able to install the driveway <br />so that building can occur immediately thereafter. They do not <br />want to wait until Spring for a building permit.
