Zoning for the
property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density
Residential District.
Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of
PUD-85-17-1M.
Commissioner Innes asked about the number of children living in
such a complex. Mr. Swift said basically the apartment rate is
.2 children per unit. This is the figure used for condominiums
as well. However, in looking at the kinds of people who are
locating in lower income projects now approved, it is being found
that a family frequently is a single-parent, head of household,
with one to three children in a two bedroom unit. One quarter of
the units proposed are to be set aside for lower income units.
- 7 -
