Minutes - -Planning Commission May 14, 1986 Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of design review for the first phase of the Koll Company business park. Terry Jacobson, Leason & Pomeroy Associates, stated he was prepared to present a slide presentation if the Commission so desired. The Commission indicated that due to the lateness of the hour, the slide show could be foregone. Mr. Jacobson then reviewed the architecture of the buildings showing the Commissioner revised plans. Mr. Jacobson stated that all of the conditions recommended in the staff report are acceptable to them. Commissioner Wellman asked about the multi-tenant building and trellis and whether it would actually be used for a planter area. Mr. Jacobson said this was not the intent. Commissioner Wellman then likened the proposal to that at Stoneridge and West Las Positas. Mr. Pogue alluded to the fact that the architecture, is similar. He reviewed the rounded element of the proposal vs the other structures. Comparisons were then made of the multi-tenant buildings at Hacienda and this business park. Commissioner Innes addressed the major entrances and asked if there is glass in the doors other than the three defined entrances. Mr. Swift felt the proposed structures are a marked improvement of the similar Koll buildings in Hacienda. Commissioner Berger then discussed landscaping along the Arroyo with Mr. Jacobson. The public hearing was closed. A motion was made by Commissioner Wellman, seconded by Commissioner Hoyt, that PUD-80-2-1D be recommended for approval subject to the conditions of the staff report.
