MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br />Monday, March 10, 1986 <br />8:OOpm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission meeting of March 10, 1986 was called to <br />order at 8:47pm by Chairman DeWitt C. Wilson. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />unT.T. ['!nT.T. <br />Commissioners Present: <br />Staff Members Present: <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Brian Hoyt, John Innes, Larry <br />Lindsey, Sharrell Michelotti, Kaye <br />Wellman and Chairman DeWitt Wilson <br />Chandler Lee, Principal Planner, <br />Robert T. Okamura, City Engineer; <br />and Shirley McDougall, Recording <br />Secretary <br />The Minutes of February 12, 1986 & February 19, 1986 were <br />approved subject to a correction on the 12th as follows: <br />Page 6, Third Paragraph <br />"...nothing in Phase II can be developed until Hacienda <br />Interchange has commenced construction". <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />Pam Blinn, 2328 Gloria Court, represented Pleasanton Legislation <br />Action Committee on education. Parents and schools in Pleasanton <br />are working to get more money from the State, however, they are <br />asking that the Planning Commission give consideration to schools <br />when determining environmental impacts of residential projects <br />which come before them. Until State laws are changed, local <br />support is needed. Commissioner Innes told the speaker that the <br />environmental impact report for the residential element of the <br />General Plan will address educational needs of the City. Mr. Lee <br />confirmed this and stated he has been in discussion with the <br />School District regarding their projected needs which include <br />middle school and elementary school needs. <br />- 1 - <br />
