He was opposed to anv walls that might be put up and <br />questioned the reasons for having to change the land layout, anH <br />asked the Commissioners to think about how they would feel if <br />they lived in an area that was subject to such change. <br />Don Cotton, 3I(-J5 Catawha Court, who lived near the drainage <br />ditch, expressed concern about the possibility of flooding. Mr. <br />Quaglia stated that the project has been laid out so that the <br />pad areas would drain to the street and on to the storm drain. <br />Ir addition, concrete lined citches will be placed on the toe of <br />the slope to catch the runoff of the slope area. <br />Mr. Cotton was also concerned about the timing of the proposed <br />construction to weather. Mr' Quaglia assured him that <br />comdutiors would be coordinated with the weather as much as <br />possible and construction will not be planned until late spring <br />when weather conditions are more stable. <br />Fran Belecky_ 392 Madeira Drive, wished to address the traffic <br />situation in the Vintage HilIs/Crellin Road/Madeira Drive area. <br />He noted that construction starts at 6:30 am and that traffic is <br />becoming increasingly heavy. He requested that tne developer <br />post large signs at the entrances and exits of the project <br />warning the workers of caution. <br />Mr- Slenn returned to the <br />presented by the public. <br />and addressed the issues <br />Commissioner Tarver asked Mr. Glenn if the gradinq of the Iots <br />could brought down. Mr. Glenn said that it would be <br />difficult but they would try. <br />Commissioner Michelotti asked Mr. Glenn how he felt about the <br />propoeed soundwall~ Mr. Glenn was opposed to the idea_ but <br />would agree if it were a condition. He indicated they would try <br />to dress it up as much as possible. <br />Neither Commissioners Micheletti nor Berger were in favor of a <br />soundwaII or CreIl�n Ro=d. <br />The public hearing was closed. <br />Chairman Lindsey noted that Mr. Belecky had raised the duestion <br />regargimg the possibility of getting SignS cauticn=ng <br />construction workers, and asked Mr. Quaglia if staff had any <br />problem with that.
