Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />June 1Q, 1987 <br />GP-87-4, Spotorno <br />Application of Alex Spotorno to amend the Land Use Element <br />designation of the General Plan from Public Health and Safety to <br />Low Density Residential for an approximately 160 acre site <br />located generally in the area northeast of the intersection of <br />Alisal street and Happy Valley Road. <br />This matter was continued to 6/24/87. <br />UP-87-19, Shin <br />Application of Dong-Kyu Shin and Shin's Martial Arts Center for a <br />conditional use permit to allow for the operation of a studio for <br />the instruction of martial arts to be located at 312-A Main <br />Street. Zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) <br />District. <br />This item was withdrawn. <br />PUD-87-10, Warren Avenue Associates <br />Application of Warren Avenue Associates for Planned Unit <br />Development rezoning and development plan approval for a <br />single-story, approximately 7,750 square foot building for retail <br />commercial uses and for related improvements, to be located on an <br />approximately 20,000 square foot site, located at the northeast <br />corner of the intersection of Hopyard Road and Owens Drive. <br />This item was continued to 6/24/87. <br />Variances: Boats, Trailers, in Residential Districts <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report outlining the recent action <br />of the Council which would delegate the Zoning Administrator the <br />authority to act on various requests for boats, trailers, <br />campers, etc. in front yard setbacks of residential areas. <br />Mr. Swift then asked the concurrence of the Planning Commission <br />acting as Board of Adjustment to confirm this authority. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Mahern, seconded by <br />Commissioner Lindsey to affirm City Council's appointment of the <br />Zoning Administrator to handle variances for residential <br />neighborhoods concerning boats, trailers, campers, etc. in front <br />yard setbacks. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Hoyt, <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Berger <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Mahern, Michelotti, Tarver and <br />Resolution No. PC-87-66 was entered and adopted as motioned. <br />MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW <br />There were none. <br />-5- <br />
