Minutes <br />Planning Commission <br />April 8, 1987 <br />housing is close to the market rate, and also would like to see <br />the figures redefined. <br />Commissioner Berger indicated her support of a joint session and <br />clarification. Commissioner Tarver agreed to a study session of <br />that nature. He spoke to the number of exemptions with an upper <br />limit proposed by the General Plan Review Committee, supported by <br />Planning Commission and removed by City Council. He felt <br />clarification would enable him, as the junior Planning <br />Commissioner, to do a better job. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Michelotti seconded by <br />Commissioner Berger to 1) support a joint study-session meeting <br />with City staff, Planning Commission members and Council members <br />to be set to 2) clarify by General Plan amendment Low Income <br />exemptions as covered under the Growth Management Program of the <br />City of Pleasanton. <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Hoyt, Michelotti, Tarver and <br />Chairman Lindsey <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />Chairman Lindsey asked Council Member Wilson to carry this <br />message to the other Council Members. <br />Chairman Lindsey: <br />soundwalls - Foothill Knolls <br />Reference was made to a letter from Shelly Petite concerning the <br />soundwalls for Foothill Knolls along I-680. Chairman Lindsey <br />asked the status of this item. Mr. Swift stated Caltrans is <br />scheduled to build soundwalls with the widening of I-680. The <br />question with Foothill Knolls is whether or not it is needed. <br />The front yard doesn't get the kind of sound the play area along <br />the eastern edge of the development gets. Mr. Swift then <br />reviewed the area which would be covered by soundwalls under the <br />City's proposal to Caltrans. <br />Chairman Lindsey then asked staff to answer the letter of <br />Ms. Petite with copy to him. <br />- 3 - <br />
