MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, April 8, 1987 <br />8:oopm <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission meeting of Wednesday, April 8, 1987 was <br />called to order at 8:OOpm by Chairman Larry Lindsey. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited. <br />TIAT T AT T T <br />Commissioners Present: Joyce Berger, Brian Hoyt, <br />Marcelline Mahern, <br />Sharrell Michelotti, Ben Tarver and <br />Larry Lindsey, Chairman <br />Staff Members Present: Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning <br />and Community Development; <br />Gary Leach, Assistant Director of <br />Public Works; Sergeant Jim Balch, <br />Police Department; and <br />Shirley McDougall, Recording <br />Secretary <br />Others Present: Council Member DeWitt C. Wilson <br />Chairman Lindsey welcomed Ben Tarver, Planning Commissioner, to <br />his first meeting in that capacity. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the March 25, 1987 meeting were approved as <br />submitted. <br />MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE <br />MINUTES <br />Margaret Tracy, Livermore, addressed availability of water from <br />the State of California. She said it is important to realize the <br />State's inability at this time to furnish all of the water <br />required. Mrs. Tracy presented several charts to the Commission <br />depicting current and anticipated needs. Mrs. Tracy addressed <br />the "greenhouse effect" of the sea level, flooding and salinity <br />of fresh water. She then urged the Commission to consider the <br />water needs and review the materials distributed when approving <br />- 1 - <br />
